We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated staff member to join our team as a Lot Manager. The primary function of the position includes overseeing all aspects of lot operations, including vehicle organization, lot appearance, staff coordination, inventory management, and safety. This role is critical to maintaining a professional dealership environment and ensuring vehicles are accessible, secure, and customer-ready at all times.
A Day In The Life…
- Leading and managing daily lot operations to support dealership goals.
- Ensuring the vehicle lot is clean, organized, safe, and customer friendly.
- Monitoring vehicle conditions, identifying damage or issues, and reporting to Sales or Service teams.
- Overseeing vehicle placement, signage, and presentation standards.
- Working with the sales team to ensure the right vehicles are on the lot for customer demand and promotional events.
- Tracking vehicle movement on and off the lot and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintaining lot security, manage vehicle keys, and ensure safety protocols.
- Supervising, training, and assigning tasks to Lot Attendants.
- Reviewing and monitoring tire storage daily to ensure tires are pulled for install and stored accurately.
- During winter months, ensuring all doorways and walkways are cleared and salted; work with lot team to clear snow from vehicles.
- Working with property maintenance team to ensure snow clearing is completed in a timely manner following winter storms.
- Conducting daily walkthrough of department and lot to ensure cleanliness.
- Ensuring compliance with dealership policies, manufacturers guidelines, and safety regulations
- Ensuring safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned, subject to periodic adjustments to align with company objectives.
What You Bring To CAG…
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in an automotive dealership or related operational role.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising or coordinating staff.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
- Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Observing safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and material properly.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance with a commitment to consistently arriving at work on time.
What We Require From You…
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years experience in the automotive industry or customer service experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a Driver's Abstract.
- Record of Conduct.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Overtime as required.
