Our client is a recognized leader in the commercial transportation industry, providing innovative products, dealer support, and customer-focused solutions across Canada. With a strong reputation for quality, service, and long-term partnerships, they are seeking a District Sales Manager to support and grow their dealer network throughout Western Canada.
Reporting to a senior sales leader, this role serves as a trusted advisor to dealer principals, sales teams, and key commercial customers while helping execute strategic growth initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with dealers and provide ongoing sales leadership, coaching, and support.
- Conduct regular business reviews focused on sales performance, market share, pipeline activity, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze sales and operational metrics and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Partner with dealer sales teams to support major customer opportunities and fleet accounts.
- Promote structured sales processes, opportunity management, and consistent follow-up practices.
- Assist dealers in developing business plans that align with territory and organizational objectives.
- Support the rollout and execution of national sales programs and initiatives.
- Drive territory sales growth and strengthen market penetration across assigned regions.
- Monitor inventory performance, sales activity, and dealer compliance with company standards.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and dealer development activities.
Qualifications
- Proven success in territory management, dealer development, business-to-business sales, or sales leadership.
- Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Experience conducting business reviews and using data to guide decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Experience
- Heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, transportation, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, industrial distribution, or OEM sales experience.
- Experience supporting dealer networks or independent distributors.
- Familiarity with fleet sales, territory management, and commercial account development.
- Experience working with dealer principals, ownership groups, and executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Western Canada.
