Position Title: Guest Service Attendant

Position Overview:
Provide friendly, efficient and exceptional service to all guests of White Point. Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to exceed standards. Set up function spaces for groups, weddings and other events in accordance to provided function sheets in a timely and attentive manner.

Qualifications:
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Providing direct guest services
- Providing meeting room services

- Reports to work on time and in full uniform
- Follows established sign in/out procedures
- Has complete knowledge of food and beverage items responsible for serving
- Knowledge of services offered in the hotel
- Follows established standards
- Maintenance and cleanliness of public areas
- Maintenance and cleanliness equipment and storage spaces
- Maintenance and organization of meeting room supplies
- Accurate and complete order taking
- Proficient use of dining room precheck system (Silverware)
- Following procedures of room service delivery and pickup
- Handling cash and credit cards
- Greeting guests in a friendly manner and following guidelines set up in the orientation program re service strategies.
- Install/ run AV equipment when necessary

- Checks the function book for necessary set ups/coffee breaks and bills to be completed
- Checks day sheet for room deliveries
- Checks walkie talkie operation
- Talk to fellow workers and/or check task sheet for up-to date information
- Public Spaces
- Maintains cleanliness of public spaces as required including furniture arrangements, ashtrays, abandoned dishes, floors, light bulbs
- Lights and maintains Main Lodge fireplaces
- Maintains cleanliness of ground around Main Lodge entrance and any other area where needed in the work areas
- Meeting Services
- Scheduled set up performed as specified in the Function Sheet Binder
- Food and Beverage services provided as scheduled per day, task & function sheets
- Storage spaces kept clean, organized in such a manner that no equipment has a risk of damage.
- Equipment and supplies kept neat and clean
- Billing procedures followed

- Loading, carrying and unloading a tray

- Operates pre-check machine (Silverware)

Working Conditions:
● Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
● Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
● Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
● Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
● Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces

Pay: $16.75-$17.50 per hour
