The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.
Hourly Rate: $53.79

About the Opportunity
Wesdome is seeking an experienced Millwright to join our Maintenance team at the Eagle River Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical mill equipment. This hands-on position is responsible for safely performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a variety of mechanical equipment to support continuous mill operations. You enjoy diagnosing complex mechanical issues, take pride in producing quality work, and can work independently while collaborating effectively with your team. Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Job Duties

Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mill equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Maintain and repair crushers, ball mills, compressors, pumps, and other fixed plant equipment.

Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.

Complete preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules.

Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants, and all applicable government legislation.

Follow all Wesdome safety policies, procedures, standards, and safe work practices.

Accurately complete maintenance documentation and report equipment issues as required.

Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations personnel to support safe and efficient mill production.

Prioritize workload effectively to meet operational requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

Provincial Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) (433A) or equivalent recognized certification.

Minimum 5 years of industrial or mining maintenance experience, preferably in a mineral processing or mill environment.

Ontario Common Core modules applicable to mill maintenance are considered an asset.

Valid Class G Driver's Licence.

WHMIS certification.

Fall Arrest certification is considered an asset.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Solid mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining rotating equipment and fixed plant assets.

Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Commitment to working safely and promoting a positive safety culture.
Working Conditions / Schedule
Location: Eagle River Mill
Shift / Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts
Schedule / Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off
Type of Hire: Permanent, Full-Time
