Framer/Carpenter Apprentice

This work isn’t for the faint of heart. The days can be physically demanding, and the weather and working conditions aren’t always ideal. However, there is real satisfaction in seeing the results of your hard work, overcoming challenges, and becoming someone your team can depend on.
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Framer/Carpenter Apprentice who is ready to learn, work hard, and grow with our team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical carpentry skills while gaining hands-on framing experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with framing walls, floors, roofs, and other structures
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and building materials
- Read and follow plans, measurements, and instructions
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Load, unload, and organize tools and materials
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow direction from journeyperson carpenters and site supervisors
- Take initiative and contribute positively to the team
- Perform other general construction duties as required
Qualifications
- Some framing or construction experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Registered apprenticeship is an asset
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- Physically able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
- A positive attitude and the ability to accept constructive feedback
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred
- Basic hand tools and safety equipment are an asset
