Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Mechanic will utilize a range of tools and technical skills to deliver high-quality service and support customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify problems and solutions
- Assist with vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records for each repair or maintenance task performed
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably in a dealership or automotive service environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair tasks
- Experience with automotive repair including engine work, assembly, and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective customer interactions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $23.55-$48.58 per hour
