Our Royalmount location includes an in-house bakery where we produce our signature burger buns fresh every day. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to grow with an expanding company.
As a Baker (Bakery Team Member), you are responsible for producing Patty Slaps' bakery products according to established recipes, production schedules, and operating procedures.
Working under the direction of the Bakery Team Lead, you will execute daily production, maintain product quality, follow food safety standards, communicate operational issues promptly, and contribute to the continuous success of our bakery operation. Your role is essential in ensuring every bun meets Patty Slaps' quality standards before reaching our guests.
Prepare dough according to Patty Slaps recipes and procedures.
Measure and scale ingredients accurately.
Mix, shape, proof, and bake products according to company standards.
Follow daily production schedules established by the Bakery Team Lead.
Package and organize finished products.
Ensure products are prepared on time to support restaurant operations.
Inspect products throughout the production process.
Verify consistency in size, weight, appearance, texture, color, and freshness.
Remove products that do not meet company standards.
Immediately communicate quality concerns to the Bakery Team Lead.
Help maintain Patty Slaps' product consistency.
Follow all food safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow sanitation and cleaning schedules.
Properly store ingredients and finished products.
Maintain appropriate temperatures and storage conditions.
Follow all MAPAQ and Patty Slaps food safety standards.
Safely operate bakery equipment.
Clean equipment after use.
Perform basic daily equipment inspections.
Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
Handle equipment responsibly to minimize downtime.
Monitor ingredient usage.
Report low inventory levels.
Minimize production waste.
Store ingredients properly.
Follow FIFO inventory practices.
Report production delays.
Communicate ingredient shortages.
Report equipment issues.
Escalate quality concerns.
Report food safety issues.
Communicate operational challenges promptly.
Share suggestions for operational improvement.
Maintain production records.
Complete cleaning logs.
Record temperatures.
Track production waste.
Complete quality checklists.
Maintain any additional documentation assigned by the Bakery Team Lead.
Previous bakery or food production experience.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
