We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee maintenance operations at a manufacturing facility located south of Kitchener, ON.
This role is best suited for a hands-on leader who has come up through the trades and understands equipment, people, and production pressures firsthand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and coach a team of skilled trades including millwrights, electricians, and maintenance technicians
- Oversee all maintenance activities including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance
- Drive equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot/advise on complex mechanical issues as needed
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies aligned with production goals
- Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and contractor relationships
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company policies
- Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, performance, and development
Qualifications:
- Licensed trade certification (Millwright, Electrician, or Tool & Die) is strongly preferred
- Proven hands-on experience in heavy manufacturing environments such as automotive, steel, or metal processing
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Pay: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
