Overview
We are seeking a SECOND/Third year Apprentice Electrician to join our team and develop their skills in electrical installation and maintenance within industrial and construction environments. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced electricians, providing a valuable foundation for a career in electrical trades. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, reliable, and has a strong interest in electrical systems and construction projects.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial and construction settings
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Work with low voltage systems as well as standard electrical wiring
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Support the setup of electrical components according to project specifications
- Participate in site clean-up and organization to ensure efficient workflow during projects
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems gained through coursework or previous experience preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and blueprint reading skills
- Experience or interest in industrial electrician work and construction environments is a plus
- Ability to work safely with low voltage systems and adhere to safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred but not required
- Prior experience with electrical or construction work is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
