First General is a leading insurance restoration company specializing in flood, wind, and fire remediation and repair.
We are currently seeking a trained and experienced Carpenter to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
· Complete assigned projects while ensuring compliance with all safe work procedures and company policies.
· Act as the company’s on-site representative and maintain a professional, customer-focused presence.
· Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project schedules.
· Work effectively under time constraints to meet established deadlines.
· Maintain a high level of attention to detail and exercise care in protecting clients’ property and information.
· Always practice good housekeeping to keep worksites safe, organized, and free of clutter.
· Proactively communicate job-site conditions or concerns that may affect project completion or scheduling to the appropriate person.
Qualifications
· Certified Journeyman Carpenter, or equivalent practical experience.
· At least 3 years of field experience
· Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials and tools.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- On call
- Overtime (paid)
- Ontario Drivers License (required)
Physical Demands
· Frequent unassisted lifting of 5 to 40 lbs.
