Role: The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting assembly operations by coordinating materials, tracking production requirements, and ensuring timely communication between departments. This role oversees inventory flow, supplier coordination, production documentation, and quality-related activities to ensure efficient and accurate production execution.
Responsibilities:
Materials & Production Coordination
- Coordinate OEM drop ship kits, ensuring all required components are available for production
- Investigate and resolve missed shipments, coordinating corrective actions with suppliers and the Logistics team
- Follow up on missing components with vendors and internal teams to prevent delays
- Monitor and manage production options and configurations
- Oversee stocking levels for CanCrete production items and ensure materials are replenished as needed i.e. minimum and maximum inventory levels for stock availability
- Manage procurement and tracking of shop supplies
Scheduling & Workflow Management
- Coordinate and schedule paint and decal processes to align with production timelines
- Support production planning by ensuring all materials and resources are available when needed
Procurement & Inventory Oversight
- Utilize technical manuals to decipher required parts
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for parts and materials
- Support Work Order (WO) management, including tracking and updating PMA incremental costs
- Assign parts and materials to the appropriate production orders/work orders
Technical & Quality Coordination
- Provide testing and validation assistance and oversight, ensuring all testing activities are completed in accordance with established procedures
- Act as a Technical Coordinator, supporting:
- Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
- Product testing processes
- Quality control activities
- Ensure all technical requirements are completed and documented prior to product release
Documentation & Communication
- Prepare and send production documentation to OEM
- Generate and print production documentation for the shop floor, ensuring accuracy and timely availability
- Ensure all shop floor documentation reflects current production requirements and specifications
- Maintain clear communication across departments
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production coordination, manufacturing, assembly, logistics, or supply chain operations
· Working knowledge of inventory management, procurement processes, production scheduling, and material flow control
· Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and work order tracking (SAP and Asana experience preferred)
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), equipment specifications, and parts manuals
· Experience coordinating suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and expediting material deliveries to support production schedules
· Familiarity with quality control processes, product testing, inspections, and documentation requirements
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and changing deadlines
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate between production, purchasing, service, logistics, engineering, and suppliers
Pay: $28.34-$30.36 per hour
