Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flat Glass Film Installer to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing high-quality window films on flat glass surfaces, ensuring precision and durability. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Flat Glass Film Installer plays a vital role in enhancing building aesthetics, energy efficiency, and privacy for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare glass surfaces for film installation using hand tools and proper techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application
- Clean and prep glass surfaces thoroughly to ensure optimal adhesion of films
- Cut, shape, and apply films precisely to fit various window sizes and shapes
- Use caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques to ensure a seamless appearance and long-lasting results
- Operate relevant tools such as caulking guns, utility knives, squeegees, and other hand tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving construction painting, plumbing, or flooring installation when necessary
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during installation processes
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction-related tasks
- Knowledge of construction painting, caulking, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration is a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics for precise application
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced project environments
