Summary
The Welder will be responsible for performing high‑quality welding and fabrication on construction materials, heavy equipment, attachments, and structural components. This role is based out of our main shop, with occasional travel to job sites when field repairs or on‑site fabrication are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on construction equipment, road‑building materials, and steel components
- Diagnose and repair cracks, breaks, and wear on heavy machinery and attachments
- Fabricate custom parts, brackets, guards, and structural pieces as needed
- Read, fit, and weld products according to work orders and welding procedures
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and shop safety standards
- Complete on‑site welding repairs when required (company vehicle provided for site work)
- Work collaboratively with mechanics, operators, and supervisors to support equipment uptime
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company and industry standards
Qualifications
- CWB Welding Certification (required)
- Red Seal Welder Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience welding on construction equipment, road‑building materials, and heavy steel
- Ability to work independently in a shop environment and occasionally in the field
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to lift, bend, and work in various outdoor conditions when required
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
