Immediate opening for heavy equipment operators based at our Northern Ontario Timmins location.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment ( Loader, Excavator)
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
-Must be willing to work in a part-time, temporary position
- Minimum one-year of heavy civil experience is preferred
- Must have and maintain a valid class G driver's license
-Ability to provide MLITSD (formerly MTCU) transcripts
-Must complete a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Test
Work Conditions:
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
