Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of food service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant activities, managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Candidates with prior restaurant experience, including kitchen and food handling expertise, are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and train staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food safety compliance in accordance with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions, POS systems such as Micros POS, and cash handling procedures accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate food delivery schedules.
- Enforce food safety standards and ensure proper food handling practices are followed by all staff.
- Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and hospitality excellence.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with safety standards.
- Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, food presentation, and quality control.
Experience
- Proven restaurant management experience with a strong background in food service, food preparation, and cooking.
- Supervising experience in a hospitality or food industry setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms, is highly desirable.
- Experience in food handling, food safety, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.
- Background in hotel experience, barista experience, or working within the food industry is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively, including interviewing and training new employees.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, serving, and kitchen experience will contribute to success in this role.
