We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team in supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy machinery efficiently. Duties
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and industrial machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (Truck and Transport)
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to perform maintenance tasks
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Perform welding, and low voltage electrical work as needed
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities using CMMS software
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure equipment reliability and safety standards are met
- Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical issues with industrial electrician experience
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations during all maintenance activities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing equipment concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing environments, or heavy equipment repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including low voltage systems
- Familiarity with schematics, analysis skills, and troubleshooting techniques for complex machinery
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, HVAC systems, welding, boilers, and industrial electrician tasks is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation
- Strong analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Relevant certifications or training in industrial electrician work, welding, HVAC systems, or boiler operation are preferred
