Westcon Equipment has an immediate opening for a Rental Administrator. This person is directly responsible for renting equipment, preparing rental contracts, obtaining customer signatures, payment, and other information as required.
You will explain rental fees and provide information about rented items, such as the operation of and descriptions of such items. You will answer telephone inquiries and receive orders by phone, recommend items to customers that meet their needs, reserve items for requested time.
You may assist or supervise the loading of equipment when necessary, demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment and resolve customer problems. You will manage the day-to-day operation of the rentals department. You’re a team player, willing to pitch in for other departments as needed.
Administrative duties are a part of this role.
Job Duties

Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.

Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.

Prepare forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.

Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.

Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.

Prepare End-of-Day deposits and administer Petty Cash records

Order office and shop supplies; organize maintenance appointments for facility

Rental Counter duties: Open and close contracts, organize freight for rentals

Assist in other departments when necessary.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Office Assistant Certificate would be an asset.

Knowledge of general office procedures.

Basic typing skills at 45 words per minute.

Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software platforms, including Excel and Word

Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.

Meticulous records maintenance skills.

Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.

Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
