About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our specialized renal pharmacy in Vancouver. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of medication services to patients across British Columbia.
You will work closely with pharmacists, leadership, and support teams to optimize workflows, maintain compliance with BC Renal protocols, and enhance both patient care and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service
- Monitor operations in real time and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational standards
Team Leadership and Development
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
- Collaborate with the Lead Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacy Assistant to improve workflows
- Build and maintain a strong, accountable, and engaged team culture
Training and Process Improvement
- Lead onboarding and training for new pharmacists
- Ensure cross-training across roles to maintain operational continuity
- Maintain and improve training materials and standard operating procedures
Billing and Financial Oversight
- Ensure accurate end-to-end prescription billing
- Maintain compliance with BC Renal billing protocols
- Support staff training and continuous improvement in billing practices
Inventory Management
- Manage medication inventory and supply levels
- Implement controls to minimize waste and ensure proper storage and handling
Patient Experience and Service Excellence
- Foster a patient-first environment focused on professionalism and empathy
- Support front-line service and ensure a high standard of customer care
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist or Registered Pharmacy Technician in British Columbia
- Experience in pharmacy operations, preferably in a specialty or hospital setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with pharmacy billing, workflow optimization, or staff scheduling is an asset

Pay: $95,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
