We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Coordinator on a full-time basis, working 42.5 hours per week.
The position:
As a Sales Coordinator with Floral Express, the incumbent will directly support the sales team in driving growth while also managing and assisting existing customers to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction. This role will require the incumbent to identify and support growth opportunities, assist in execution of sales initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to achieve company goals and objectives.
What you will do:
The specific responsibilities of this position will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customers
- Develop and maintain a database of customers, potential customers and industry stakeholders
- Generate leads and initiate contact with potential customers through cold calling, emailing, and networking
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals
- Provide ongoing support to existing customers, including order management, follow-ups, and issue resolution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to drive retention and growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, to support product launches and promotions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
- Attend trade shows and industry events to build relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Ensure timely follow-up on all sales inquiries and customer requests
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends, developments, and innovations within the floral and plant industry. Provide input and ideas for product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to help capitalize on market opportunities.
What you bring to the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in sales, customer support, or account coordination (floral industry preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
A passion for flowers and plants, ideally with knowledge of various varieties, seasonal availability, and care techniques is helpful, however, in the absence of this, training will be provided.
