We are looking for a reliable and motivated Litter Maintenance Technician to help keep our commercial properties clean, safe, and presentable. This is an outdoor, hands-on role that involves traveling between sites and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across parking lots, landscaped areas, sidewalks, and common spaces.
Job Responsibilities
- Pick up litter and debris throughout commercial properties, including parking lots, landscaped areas, sidewalks, curbs, grass, and bushes
- Empty waste receptacles, replace garbage bags, and properly dispose of collected waste
- Remove debris from shopping cart corrals, entrances, and other high-traffic areas
- Report overflowing bins, illegal dumping, vandalism, or any property damage to management
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the assigned properties
- Operate company vehicle safely while traveling between sites
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of required PPE
- Perform basic seasonal cleanup duties as required (leaves, small branches, etc.)
- Complete assigned routes efficiently and on schedule
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Driver’s Abstract required
- Reliable transportation to and from the reporting location
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lb)
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must be able to use a smartphone to receive routes and complete reports
- Previous property maintenance or landscaping experience is considered an asset but is not required
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
