Structural Steelworker or Welder
Koski Ironworks Ltd. is a growing, CWB-certified structural steel company serving Barrie, Simcoe County, the GTA, and surrounding areas. We specialize in structural steel fabrication, installation, and welding for residential and light commercial projects.
We're looking for a hardworking, reliable individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to grow with a company that values safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
Welding or Steelwork experience is not required. Interest in the trade and willingness to learn and work hard is the most crucial asset!
Responsibilities
- Assist with installing structural steel including beams, columns, lintels, and miscellaneous steel.
- Perform field welding and steel fit-up as required. (if applicable)
- Safely operate power tools and equipment.
- Rig and guide steel during lifting operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Work efficiently with the crew while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Previous structural steel installation experience is an asset. (not required)
- CWB welding certification is an asset but not required. (if applicable)
- Experience operating telehandlers, boom lifts, or forklifts is an asset.
- Previous construction experience preferred.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong work ethic, and dependable.

Job Details
- Job Type: Part-time (as needed), may lead to full time opportunity
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends
- Location: Barrie, ON (travel to job sites throughout Central Ontario and the GTA)
- Pay: $23.00–$40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
