Overview

Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members to achieve their full potential
- Manage daily store operations, including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and inventory control
- Implement effective merchandising and pricing strategies to maximize sales and enhance visual appeal
- Oversee purchasing decisions and vendor negotiations to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability
- Drive sales through proactive customer service, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities
- Monitor store performance metrics, prepare budgets, and manage payroll to meet financial goals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, store policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized environment
Requirements
- Proven retail management experience with demonstrated success in sales management and team supervision
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging with diverse customers
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills for accurate financial transactions
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and inventory management
- Ability to handle negotiations effectively with vendors and suppliers
- Skilled in training staff on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, and organizational skills
- Adept at time management, multitasking, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and administrative processes such as payroll processing and record keeping
- Supervising experience in retail sales or store management is highly desirable; familiarity with budgeting is advantageous
