The Lacombe Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to people with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta including Lacombe, Red Deer and Stettler. Our staff engage these individuals and inspire them to become leaders in their own lives while constantly seeking innovative solutions in our quest to provide exceptional service. We are currently recruiting for a temporary (maternity leave) full-time Team Leader to provide a combination of front line supports to clients receiving supports in our Residential Services.
The Team Leader position supervises staff who provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This position involves supervising and training staff in order to ensure a high level of care for clients while creating and maintaining a team environment. Additional duties include corresponding and working with guardians and stakeholders as well as administrative duties. The successful candidate must be able to follow Behavior Support Plans and maintain strong personal boundaries.
Qualifications:
- supervisory experience-ability to develop a team utilizing various team building strategies-strong conflict resolution skills
- experience providing support to people with Developmental Disabilities
- experience working with behaviours of concern and implementing Behaviour Support Plans
- Experience with community inclusion
Requirements:
- Two years of related post-secondary education in a related field
- Strong computer and administrative skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Webmail)
- Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle
Opportunities:
- Starting Rate of Pay: $26.63 per hour
- 40 hours per week (typically day hours, may require some evenings and weekends)
- Position qualifies for group benefits at 6 months
