Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Collision Bodyman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle body repair, with a focus on collision damage restoration. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of restoring vehicles to their original condition while adhering to safety and quality standards. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, and the ability to work efficiently with various tools is essential.
Duties
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels, frames, and structural components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
- Assess collision damage and determine the appropriate repair procedures in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Sand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing
- Use automotive repair techniques to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues related to body damage when necessary
Skills
- Proven BodyShop experience in automotive collision repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures and systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs
- Experience with automotive repair processes including sanding, grinding, welding, and panel replacement
- Mechanic experience is a plus, providing a broader understanding of vehicle systems and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
