Quality Concrete Ltd. is currently seeking dependable and safety-focused individuals to join our Truro team as Ready-Mix Drivers.
As a Ready-Mix Driver, you play a key role in delivering quality concrete safely and efficiently to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites throughout the region. We are looking for team players who take pride in their equipment, provide excellent customer service, and work well in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck
- Deliver concrete to customer job sites in a professional and timely manner
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain cleanliness of truck and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant staff, and customers
- Assist with basic maintenance and greasing of equipment when required
- Operate safely around construction sites and varying weather conditions
- Follow all company safety policies and NS highway regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license (Air Brake endorsement required)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Experience operating heavy trucks considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours during busy construction season
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Safety-minded and dependable
Experience Considered an Asset
- Ready-mix experience
- Construction or heavy equipment experience
- Commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of local roads and job sites
