Reporting to the Superintendent, Underground Mine, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of mine operations employees in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner, either personally or through subordinates. Monitor costs, productivity, safety, and employee motivation;

Interact with the mine management team to establish production and quality standards by using knowledge of mining technology (methods, procedures, standards, and machine & equipment capabilities);

Coordinate production activities along with procurement, maintenance, production planning, safety, and quality control activities to obtain optimal use of employee and equipment resources;

Coach and mentor subordinates regarding employee relations, safety, environmental, productivity and cost issues;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
