The Position:
Reporting to the Manager of Credit & Risk, the successful candidate’s primary duties will include: A high standard of member service; interviewing members; analyzing loan applications, granting, recommending, and processing consumer and mortgage loans, ensuring all activities are in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. All staff are responsible for expanding/maximizing our members’ financial experience with our Credit Union.
Qualifications:
The ideal incumbent will have a minimum:
· Grade 12 diploma,
· Proficient computer skills and financial awareness,
· 1-3 years related lending experience and/or educational experience,
· Completion of or working towards Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending courses and Estate Account training courses,
· Above average knowledge of Credit Union products and services is an asset,
· Enjoy working with people and working in a team environment,
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
· Superior organizational skills and effective time management skills,
· Develop and maintain a personal continuous learning plan,
· Ability to provide professional quality member service,
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
The Credit Union:
Located in the City of Saskatoon, Saskatoon City Employees is Saskatchewan’s only closed bond Credit Union with approximately 2000 members, assets of $89.9 million, and a loan portfolio of $59.6 million. Our staff are members of UFCW Local 1400.
Compensation:
This is a temporary full-time position, to fill a maternity leave until approximately October 2027. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package and 6% matched superannuation if the term is extended.
