Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Maintenance Staff member to help maintain the beauty and playability of our golf course. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, turf care, and equipment operation to ensure a pristine environment for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, horticulture, and landscape upkeep, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the course.
Responsibilities
- Mow, trim, and edge grass using hand tools and power equipment to maintain optimal turf conditions.
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and water conservation.
- Perform landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and weed control to enhance course appearance.
- Maintain and repair golf course equipment including mowers, trimmers, and other landscape tools.
- Assist with aeration, topdressing, and overseeding activities to promote healthy turf growth.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Support other team members in general landscape maintenance and course setup as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience in gardening or turf management is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
