Whites Mechanical & Fabrication is a growing mechanical services and fabrication company based in Belleville, ON.
We are expanding our machining department and need someone who can own a job from first measurement to finished part, no hand-holding, no hand offs.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a defined path to shop management for the right person.
What the job looks like:
You walk in, assess the work, draw it up, program it, set it up, and run it. You are not an operator waiting for someone else to do the thinking. You own the job start to finish.
Measure and interpret customer parts or samples Produce drawings and CAD models Write and prove out CNC programs for both mill and lathe Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes and mills Inspect finished parts to print using precision measuring instruments Work independently and manage your own priorities Occasional overtime as job demands require
What we're looking for:
Licensed General Machinist or Tool and Die Maker, or equivalent demonstrated experience Minimum 5 years hands-on experience including setup and programming Proficient in CAM and CAD software required; SolidWorks and GibbsCAM experience preferred Equally comfortable on manual and CNC equipment Job shop background preferred Strong math skills; able to work to tight tolerances Leadership potential, this role is intended to grow into a management position
Requirements:
Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Must reside in or relocate to Ontario prior to start Valid driver's license with clean abstract Able to lift 50 lbs; able to stand for extended periods PPE compliance required
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
