Job Title: Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Experience delivering commercial, multi-family, condominium, underground parkade, and mixed-use projects is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from pre-construction planning through construction completion and turnover.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Manage project scope, change orders, risk mitigation, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor agreements, and vendor performance.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
- Monitor construction progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate closely with Site Supervisors to ensure proper sequencing, safety, and quality control.
- Track project performance using cost reports, schedules, and forecasting tools.
- Ensure quality standards are met and deficiencies are resolved promptly.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, reports, and closeout documents.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and cost control.
- Manage project closeout, including inspections, documentation, and handover.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Strong experience managing commercial, multi-family, condominium, underground parkade, and mixed-use construction projects is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Experience with project cost control, forecasting, and change management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent construction experience will be considered.
- PMP®, Gold Seal Certification, or similar credentials are considered assets.
- Valid safety certifications (First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, etc.) are required or must be obtained.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00-$190,000.00 per year
