This position is in Fair Harbour which located at the end of the Fair Harbour Forest Service road past Zeballos on the west side on Vancouver Island.
Responsibilities:
· Greet and direct guests where to dock as they approach the fuel dock
· Operate the gas & diesel pumps and fill propane cylinders
· Maintain cleanliness of the dock, waiting area, parking lot, and store front
· Check and empty garbage and recycling bins
· Assist guests with moving their belongings
· Prepare campsites for in coming campers
· Assist with deck maintenance and waste removal at the cabins
· Clean public washrooms
· Clear brush, cut grass, and chop fire wood
· Assist wherever necessary to ensure the success of Fair Harbour
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes
· Attention to detail and the ability to follow and maintain standards
· Experience using weed wackers, lawn mowers, and outside equipment
· Committed to delivering an outstanding experience for our guests
· Able to communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and assertive manner
· Propane ticket an asset but not required
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team
· Able to work a flexible work schedule
· Experience in tourism and hospitality an asset
· Minimum age of 16 years old
· Class 5 drivers license an asset but not required
· Physical requirements include; the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, bend, kneel, walk up steep incline (dock ramp), use a dolly to move propane cylinders, and lift up to 50 lbs
Shared accommodation in Fair Harbour will be available for employees for the duration of their shift if necessary. Training will be provided along with an outline of the required standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
