Position Summary
Reporting to the Project Manager or Project Director, the Senior Project Coordinator provides coordination and administrative support across all phases of construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting with project planning, scheduling, documentation, cost tracking, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects in collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Support Project Managers in all aspects of project coordination and administration.

Supervise, mentor, coach, and train junior project coordinators and other project personnel, as applicable.

Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement.

Assist in preparing and maintaining baseline schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, schedules, reports, and correspondence, ensuring proper version control.

Record, track, and process all construction drawings and project documentation.

Coordinate communication among project stakeholders, providing timely updates on project status and progress.

Assist with resource planning by coordinating labor, equipment, and material requirements.

Track project costs against budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Assist with subcontractor and supplier account reconciliation.

Prepare and support monthly project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, progress billings, and budget updates.

Build and maintain positive client relationships by responding to inquiries and helping ensure project expectations are met.

Support compliance with company policies, project specifications, and applicable health and safety standards.

Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or Architectural Engineering, or a diploma in Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of construction industry experience.

Working knowledge of construction methods, technologies, equipment, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.

Strong understanding of construction health and safety standards and best practices.

WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) designation is considered an asset.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
-
Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, and BIM software is considered an asset.
