Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Services Financial Planning, the purpose of the
Senior Financial Analyst is to ensure that financial controls and processes are maintained and transactions are correctly recorded according to accounting standards while meeting the financial needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage transactions related to Month-end financial closing

Provide and interpret relevant financial information for key stakeholders

Produce accurate financial reporting aligning to targeted deadlines

Collaborate in Budget and forecasting activities

Identify and implement ongoing process and control improvements
- Assist in the development of financial processes for new business undertakings
-
Provide financial information and analysis required to enable the Company to make sound business decisions

Other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Accounting Designation and or equivalent educational background
-
7+ years' experience in a similar/complimentary role required
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Ability to work with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized and analytical

Demonstrated self-starter working independently and taking responsibility for effectively managing own time and workload
- Flexible, adaptable and proven ability to multi-task and reprioritize workload effectively
- Takes initiative to collaborate and coordinate with team members at all levels of the organization

Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with cost accounting, cost transfer & transfer pricing would be an asset

Experience automating processes would be an asset
