Summary
The EHS Technician role supports the company’s health, safety, and environmental function by assisting with workplace safety initiatives, employee training, inspections, compliance documentation, and day-to-day operational support. This role helps maintain safe, efficient, and well-organized operations across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the lead(s) in the department to support site-level health, safety, environmental, and operational improvement priorities.
- Assist with the rollout of safety and compliance programs that support workplace safety, operational efficiency, quality standards, productivity, housekeeping, asset care, customer service, and team development.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by helping identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce delays, and strengthen operational flow.
- Contribute to a workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, compliance, and overall business performance.
- Provide support to the operations and maintenance team with daily operational tasks as needed.
- Assist with safety-related training, workplace inspections, records management, and document control.
- Help maintain accurate health and safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Support internal safety checks, hazard identification, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Work collaboratively with different departments to promote safe work practices and consistent compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education or training in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related technical field is preferred.
- A technical diploma, associate-level credential, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related experience would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety, EHS, safety compliance, or similar workplace safety role.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety programs, environmental practices, regulatory requirements, industrial hygiene, medical programs, and risk management is preferred.
- EHS-related certifications or additional safety training are considered a very strong asset.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organization, recordkeeping, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable assisting with inspections, training activities, compliance tracking, and safety documentation.
- Able to work with multiple teams while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both administrative and hands-on operational tasks.
Type: Full-time / OT for 6 months
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
