Latham, The Pool Company, is seeking an experienced, site-based Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Leader to provide strategic leadership and operational support at our Kingston fiberglass pool manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and supporting environmental stewardship while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and human resources teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead EHS programs at the Kingston, Ontario fiberglass manufacturing plant

Develop and maintain a strong, engagement-driven safety culture.

Partner with site leadership teams to reduce risk and improve performance.

Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support capital projects and operational changes through effective EHS risk management.

Monitor and improve leading and lagging EHS performance indicators.

Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to managers and employees.

Lead any federal, provincial or local inspectors from various regulatory agencies.

Support corporate sustainability and ESG initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in safety, Science, Engineering, or OHS certificate (NCSO, CRSP/CRST or related field.

5+ years of EHS leadership experience within manufacturing process or industrial environments.

Core Certified Joint Health and Safety Committee certified.

Certified First Aid attendant or willing to become one.

Experience with compliance management in a manufacturing facility that operates in Ontario, Canada.

Experience in managing a full Respiratory Protection Program.

Familiarity with Mobile Crane Safety and Powered Industrial Truck safety.

Ensuring WAH and WHMIS compliance.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set up/maintain files, generate reports as requested, and set and reach goals.

Strong working knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.

Experience supporting multiple levels of management and influencing leaders at all organizational levels.

Working knowledge of E2, NPRI, EASR, GHG compliance.
