Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other menu items following company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Manage multiple responsibilities such as serving customers, cashiering, and food handling simultaneously with excellent time management skills
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions and change
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles with knowledge of serving and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure proper handling of food products
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
