Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 310 T Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems. Trailer repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on heavy trucks.
- Fabricate and modify parts using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of vehicle components while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a truck mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
- Tractor-trailers, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, tires service, and alignment procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, service technician practices, and safety protocols related to heavy lifting and vehicle repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with customer service experience to communicate effectively with team members.
