Overview
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our new restaurant, experience is a must for this position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes
- Working Teusday to Saturday or Friday to Saturday part time, Evenings only, 2/3 pm to 10 pm or 3/4 pm to 12 am.
