Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Manager to lead the service department at our car dealership in Brampton. The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, maximizing department profitability, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff
- Manage service scheduling, workflow, and productivity to meet operational goals
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labour sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and dealership policies
- Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate service department staff
- Manage departmental budgets, expenses, and profitability
- Oversee warranty administration and ensure accurate submissions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient service environment
- Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and Management teams to optimize dealership operations
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Implement customer retention and service marketing initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in automotive service operations, with management experience preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle service and repair processes
- Proven leadership and team management skillsExcellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OEM, ASE, or equivalent) are an asset
