Job Summary
We are seeking a Front Counter Attendant to join our team at Home Run. This position offers an opportunity to work in a small, supportive community eatery where friendly conversation and excellent food quality are a part of every customer's experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly, speak kindly and be thoughtful of each customer's experience at Home Run.
- Efficiently serve pizza slices, baking, soup, ice cream, milkshakes, coffee and drinks adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give accurate change using basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter and table area, including sanitation of surfaces and utensils.
- Answer a high volume of phone calls pleasantly.
- Process online requests and enter orders accurately for kitchen staff.
- Ensure all food industry regulations are followed for safety and hygiene compliance.
- Communicate to all customers with a positive attitude, ensuring their requests, questions and/or concerns are addressed with utmost care.
- Stand for extended periods of time in a front counter setting.
Experience
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate sincerely with each guest.
- Familiarity with POS systems and spreadsheet application (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Previous experience in cashiering, food handling, or serving roles is desirable.
Training
- Fully paid training period will be in effect during which the successful candidate will have time to apprentice and ask questions in a no-pressure setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.35 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
