Job Summary
Smoke'N'Barrel is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tables while providing a memorable dining experience. This role requires a professional who is knowledgeable about food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service flow.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen support as needed
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environment with a solid understanding of hospitality principles
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling accurately
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving, food preparation, or kitchen support is preferred
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members seamlessly
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations including guest services and hospitality standards
