Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Assist in food preparation by cleaning and cutting vegetables or other ingredients as needed.
- Help maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Remove trash and recycling from kitchen areas promptly.
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
