Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus and South Campus, Edmonton. Work also takes place at Silent Ice Centre, Nisku.
Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics is the varsity department for the University of Alberta, and falls within the Student Success and Experience portfolio.
Athletics is currently seeking energetic, customer service oriented, team members to join our Event Staff crew for the 2026-27 conference season and playoffs. Roles include event ushering/security, and alcohol/merchandise sales at U of A basketball, football, hockey, rugby, soccer and volleyball games. Shifts are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the course of the season (late August - March). All roles are crucial to ensuring an exciting atmosphere at our events for both the benefit of our student-athletes and our fans.
Student Success and Experience (formerly Office of the Dean of Students) holds student support at the heart of everything we do. We provide services focused on student well-being and flourishing both in the classroom and beyond. We offer a wide range of services, including career guidance, health and wellness resources, academic support, and assistance for students facing unexpected challenges or personal difficulties. We also work closely with faculty and staff across campus to ensure students receive coordinated support when they need it most unexpected challenges or personal difficulties. Assist with the set up and tear down of the venue for each event.

Cover a variety of operational positions including:

digital ticket sales through Ticketmaster.

manage cash and card transactions for ticket, alcohol and merchandise sales.

secure venue access points, ensuring patrons have the correct ticket to enter and do not leave the venue with alcohol.

Cover sport specific roles as needed.

High school diploma.
-
Valid ProServe Certificate is required (for those age 18+).

Available to work evenings and weekends.

Reliable transportation to/from all sporting venues.

Experience working in customer service and handling sales transactions.

Experience working at events where alcohol is sold.

Experience managing large crowds effectively.

Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
