We work with mining and exploration companies on their site so you will be working on-site for 2-weeks at a time then return home for two weeks before starting your next 2-week shift.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the Head Chef you will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing food preparations. You will need to manage all catering staff and ensure all duties are preformed to a Kica quality. In addition, you will be responsible to do the following:
- Plan and execute daily meal services for camp attendees.
- Grocery ordering and inventory management.
- Supervisions of catering staff and kitchen operations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, while strictly adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
- Enforcing hygiene and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Red Seal Certifications
- WHIMIS
- Food Safe Training
- First Aid Level 1
- Ability to work 12–hour shifts.
