With training, assist in the line operation of extruders and associated equipment.
Follow and review all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service and cost objectives are met.
Ensure work area is clean and tidy prior to any rotation or shift end.
Responsible for performing duties in a safe and practical manner and ensure that your workspace is free of hazards
Package pipe in accurate pallet sizes and quantities and document production. Strap crates tightly and neatly.
Inspect product to ensure product meets standard before packaging. Ensure packaging has appropriate label, weight, quantity, and quality.
Use basic hand tools including pneumatic nail guns, saws, micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices.
Identify, transfer, and load material for production; report scrap in compliance with work instructions. Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions
Maintain acceptable housekeeping, environmental and safe working conditions
Help implement and sustain Manufacturing Excellence program (including 5S program).

Proven ability to follow safety policies and procedures
Grade 12 level reading, writing and mathematical skills, including working knowledge of the imperial and metric measurement systems
Experience using basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, hammers, saws, nail gun, etc.).
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or other similar fields is highly preferred
Previous forklift experience is a plus
Detail oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary, along with a basic understanding of the MES system
