We're a busy and well-established pastry shop in Nepean looking for a passionate and reliable Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team.
In this role, you'll be working alongside our pastry chef to help produce a wide range of baked goods and desserts to our shop's standards. You take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting in the daily production of cakes, pastries, and baked goods
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality and presentation
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and up to health and safety standards
- Supporting the team during busy periods and special orders
What we're looking for:
- Experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- A passion for pastry and a strong eye for detail
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Formal culinary or pastry training is an asset but not required
