Job Overview
We are a dual location dog/cat boarding and daycare facility. Our downtown location mainly focuses on grooming and playcare and shuttling boarding dogs to our other facility. We are looking for dog care professionals (preferably) with previous professional dog handling experience. We are currently seeking part-time employees with evening and weekend availability. Flexibility is an asset. Ability to work BOTH facilities (downtown and YYZ) is an asset. Our staffing mainly falls into 3 categories:
Dog Daycare Attendant:
- Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Auditing, checklists, head counts, and formalities for the dogs in your group.
- Cleaning, being organized, and understanding how important facility hygiene is.
- Decision making, being responsible, making good calls on the welfare of the dogs.
Animal Care Attendant:
- Thoroughness and attention to detail, feeding dogs specific to instruction.
- Services such as baths, nail trimming, walks, play times, assisting our groomer.
- Auditing, checklists, and formalities for the dogs in your care.
- Cleaning, being organized, and understanding how important facility hygiene is.
Guest Services/Reception:
- Taking phone calls, answering emails, following up with clients
- Manning the front desk, and being the friendly face clients are walking into.
- Taking/bringing dogs from/to the pick up and drop off stations.
- Opening or closing up the facility.
- Booking playcare, services, and grooming for clients.
- Understanding Gingr system.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding and maintaining facility hygiene
- A genuine love for dogs and working with them.
- Being timely, organized, and a team player.
- Hands on dog care approach. We are a full service resort and spa for dogs.
- Business model takes heavily after high season. Summers, holidays, and weekends are a must.
Experience
- Previous professional dog experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, including moving large bags of dog food or lifting dogs when necessary.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60-$18.25 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
