Horizon Childcare Center Inc. is currently hiring a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and supporting a positive learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in daily childcare routines and activities
- Support children during play, meals, rest time, and transitions
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise children both indoors and outdoors
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Assist with diapering/toileting and hygiene routines if required
- Follow daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures
- Maintain positive communication with staff and families
- Help prepare learning materials and classroom activities
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is an asset
- ECE student or childcare experience preferred
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
