Job description:
Vancouver Island Autistic Homes Society is seeking 2 confident, organized, and compassionate Group Home Supervisors to oversee the day-to-day operations of two licensed group homes in Victoria. This position is full-time.
This role ensures homes operate safely, consistently, and in compliance with Island Health licensing standards, CLBC requirements, and VIAH policies. The Supervisors provides direct management to frontline staff and ensures high standards of client care, documentation, and operational accountability are maintained.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide operational supervision for 1 licensed staff group home
- Schedule, supervise, and evaluate Residential Care Workers
- Act as Island Health License Holder for designated homes
- Oversee medication practices, health care plans, and Delegation of Task coordination
- Review care plans, daily logs, and goal tracking to ensure compliance and quality
- Prepare for and attend licensing inspections and audits
- Monitor staffing levels and ensure safe coverage
- Review and reconcile home-related expenses within approved budgets
- Liaise with families, health professionals, CLBC, and community partners
Education, Training & Experience
- Post-secondary education in human services, social services, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum three (3) years’ recent experience in group homes or community living
- Experience supervising staff and overseeing day-to-day operations
- Or an equivalent combination of training and experience

- Clear, calm, and professional communication skills
- Able to build collaborative relationships with families and external partners
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
