Beacon Hill Public School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Grade 4 Teacher.
Requirements: Bachelor of Education Degree Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong collaborative team player and a positive, supportive staff member.
- Experience teaching in the primary grades is considered a strong asset.
- Commitment to providing individualized attention to all students.
- Ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
- Demonstrated ability in creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity, and differentiated instruction.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth and ongoing learning.
- Prepared to work in a collaborative setting to reach the goals outlined in the School Education Plan.
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Executive Functioning and Regulation strategies, or a willingness to participate in provided professional learning.
- Open to adopting and implementing new educational programs and initiatives.
- Act as a reflective practitioner who consistently evaluates and refines teaching methods.
- Recognize the importance of making a strong, positive connection with all students through classroom interactions as well as involvement outside the classroom (e.g., clubs and teams).
- Willingness to volunteer and actively participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
- Recognize the importance of promoting the school positively with parents and in the wider community.
- Skilled in actively involving parents as partners in their child's education.
- Ability to create an effective team environment with educational assistants, parents, and multidisciplinary professionals.
